2022 BMW 4 Series Prices, Reviews, and Pictures

Recently redesigned Redesigned last year, the BMW 4 Series continues to provide the type of handling, performance and comfort you’d expect from the top-quality performance vehicles at the price range.

Coupes were the popular. Nowadays, only a handful of deals are sold to salespeople each year. The BMW 4 Series is already prone to fashion fatigue the BMW 4 Series sells half (or less) than its predecessor, the BMW 3 Series sedan upon the model it’s based. There is something appealing about the more refined design of a coupe or convertible, in this case.

The 4 Series is up against the classy Audi A5, stylish Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe and elegant Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe, Lexus RC, and slinky Infiniti Q60, the 4 Series will have its work cut in its favor. As the latest revamped of the group it is a distinct advantage.

BMW has also introduced”Gran Coupe” 4 Series “Gran Coupe” to the lineup it is a four-door hatchback with a sloped roofline (read the headroom is smaller for second-row passengers). The body style aside, each 4 Series offers swift acceleration as well as powerful brakes and a smooth suspension, which makes the ride enjoyable regardless of the road.

Trims and Pricing

The BMW 4 Series is available in two trim levels: M440i and 430i. Both trims are available in a two-door coupe, two-door convertible, and a 4-door Gran Coupe. The most well-known version is the 430i and we recommend it too. We’ll discuss the reasons behind it.

The basic version 4 Series ($46,195) comes with a fast turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which produces an astounding 255 horsepower. The cheapest body type comes with a four-door Gran Coupe with the standard convertible and coupe are slightly higher in price. The standard features include a sunroof, 18-inch wheels as well as heated power-folding side mirrors along with rear and front park distance control, as well as faux-leather seats that can be adjusted side-bolsters those times when the roads are a bit bumpy.

We suggest this trim because it has impressive performance and a variety of options, as well as excellent efficiency in terms of fuel consumption.

The M440i ($57,695) offers an 3.0-liter Inline-six turbo motor paired with an electric mild-hybrid that produces a staggering 383 horsepower. This model’s M Sport Brakes and an M Sport suspension boost the performance experience. Some of the options include 19 inch wheels that are heated or ventilated seats on the upgraded leather as well as a trunk with power-opening capabilities and an Harman Kardon surround-sound stereo system as well as all-wheel drive (BMW refers to it as xDrive).

Engine and Performance

BMW is one of the most powerful 2.0-liter turbo engines available. Even in Comfort mode it has a snappy acceleration and the most powerful snap. You can upgrade to the turbo-inline and prepare to giggling with delight as it provides amazing acceleration. It’s not only great engines, the transmission is superb also. Upshifts are nearly invisible. If you’re required to slam down one number of gears (or three) downshifts are quick and reliable.

The steering experience (even even in Sport mode) isn’t the best however, it has more precision and precision than other cars within the segment. The car’s handling could be a little numb but it is extremely adept at cutting its ways through traffic, or driving fast on curvy roads. The hefty leather-wrapped steering wheel offers something solid to hold onto.

The brakes may represent among the 4 Series’ least-favorable attribute because they feel a bit gripping.

The suspension soaks up bumps and road rash in normal driving, and offers amazing road feel when driving aggressively. Its sibling, the Audi A5 offers similar levels of comfort and performance, and Infiniti Q60 is a bit more sluggish. Infiniti Q60 feels less agile when driving on twisty roads.

BMW interiors aren’t extravagant. They’re more an upscale Bavarian businessman wearing a plain gray suit. Maybe the pinstripes are a bit sloppy, as shown in the discotheque-like adjustable internal ambient light. However, the digital central stack and instrument cluster functional and not aesthetically pleasing. However, the purpose is great. BMW infotainment system is great and you can get as deep into submenus as you’d like.

On the other hand, daylight driving caused reflective reflections that blinded the brushed metal trim on the middle stack. Like an automobile, the backseat offers little legroom and headroom for those over 5’8 inches taller (or any person at all when the driver is 6-foot or more). Gran Coupe Gran Coupe is only slightly more spacious in this respect, as the roofline is steeply sloped, leaving the space for tall people. Its 4 Series sports a huge trunk from front to back, however the capacity to carry heavier objects is limited.
